THE GREATEST DUPE IN AMERICAN HISTORY - PART 2: Christian Blogger Lorilyn Roberts

As I have previously written, I was at the Capitol on January 6 of this year. When did things take a downward spiral toward violence? Sometime between 3:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon, men dressed in black holding long sticks emerged from the crowd on the east side of the building. They began banging on the Capitol windows. When a patriot took down one of the thuds, another thud would replace him, and another patriot would haul him to the ground. If it weren’t for the patriots, the damage to the Capitol would have been far worse. One of those brave patriots was a woman.

I saw police officers earlier in the day around the Capitol, but there was no law enforcement anywhere when the violence started. I saw one young man about 18 or 19 that had been pepper-sprayed. If the Capitol police were pepper-spraying trespassers, why didn’t they stop the attack on the Capitol?

There was an EMS tech standing next to me set up to help anyone who needed medical help. Was she part of Antifa? I don’t know. People brought the young man to her for treatment. My phone was out of juice by that point, and she offered to charge my phone.

The crowd was not wild as the media has proclaimed. A few smoke bombs went off. Some people were crawling up the sides of the Capitol steps. That was the only hint of anything amiss, not enough to cause me to be concerned enough for my safety to leave. Far more prevalent was the singing, the praying, the patriotism and outward demonstration of love for our country. I saw people witnessing and handing out tracts. Chinese attendees handed out pamphlets warning of the CCP.

There were old people, young people, children in strollers, men, and women. I did see a couple of weirdos, but the people for the most part appeared to be freedom-loving Americans who felt as I did—that the election had been stolen and God was calling us to stand in the gap with Trump on this critical day.

I never saw any violence except for the guys dressed in black in front of the Capitol. I videotaped as much as I could until my phone ran out of juice. I did not go inside the Capitol. However, the media has misled the public into believing every person there was committing acts of violence. And to impeach Trump on trumped-up charges of insurrection is insanity.

To the contrary, Trump supporters saved our Capitol. Again, I ask, where were the police?

There was also no internet service the entire day, from 7:30 in the morning until we left about 5:15 pm because of the curfew. Nobody knew what had happened inside the Capitol, at least no one to whom I talked. It was very late by the time I heard the proceedings had stopped.

The biggest issue for me is what the media has perpetuated—that the “rioting” and breach of the Capitol was Trump’s fault. Trump said nothing to incite violence on January 6 at the Whitehouse. NOTHING. Can I repeat it? Nothing.

As the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” Trump has inspired me to fight the good fight as a follower of Jesus Christ.

I’m sure nobody today would accuse Paul of inciting violence. However, if you know your Bible, there were instances when the crowds became a mob upon his arrival. And that’s because the Jews hated Paul. They wanted to discredit him, to destroy him, to send him away. Can I say it? They wanted to kill the Apostle Paul because they hated his message.

In the same way that the people who hated Paul made up stories about him, the people who hate Trump have conjured up that same hatred, accusing him of things they themselves are doing. It’s called projection. And, dare I say, in my opinion, these demonic forces are causing the Democrats (and some Republicans) to commit acts that are unpatriotic at best, and in my opinion, purely vindictive.

What other words can one use to describe the ridiculous impeachment? There is too much wickedness in all of this to call it by any other name. And since they failed to convict Trump in the second impeachment trial, they are on a witch hunt now to destroy him. The Democrats are even trying to pass a bill to prevent Trump from being buried in the Arlington National Cemetery. What would motivate American citizens to be so hate-filled?

Someday, if America survives as a nation, historians will look back with disbelief at what these vile, wicked leftists have done. With God, there is always hope, but each day I see more and more stupidity. I can’t believe this is even America anymore. It’s not the one I used to know. It’s turning into China. Communism is coming. Wake up, America.

I won’t vote again unless the Dominion voting machines are examined by nonpartisan experts. Too much evidence has been uncovered that leads any thinking individual to believe that votes were switched from Trump to Biden. Many of the computers that changed votes had I.P. addresses in other countries like Italy and China.

Anybody who has looked at Mike Lindell’s docu-video entitled “Absolute Proof” has to ask the question: Is Biden a legitimate president?

Evil has a way of pricking souls and turning people into miserable creatures. Left to their own devices, the wicked Democrats and elitists involved in these shenanigans will destroy themselves. They will never have peace. Proverbs 5:22 states: “His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, and he is caught in the cords of his sin.”

The biggest question in all of this is why God would allow what happened to play itself out the way it did?  If you look at all the evidence—which has not been examined by the Supreme Court, the media, the Washington pundits, the political left, and those who hate Trump—you might be surprised by what it reveals.

Why would God allow a usurper in the Whitehouse? Why would He allow the elitists, the media, the Democrats, and the cabal to suppress the evidence of Trump’s almost undeniable win?

Look at all the executive orders Biden has passed in the last month. They are anti-Christian, globalist-driven, and pregnant with Marxist ideology.

While some want to rewrite our rich history and treat our Constitution with contempt, pack the Supreme Court, and allow every illegal soul to enter our country regardless of what crimes they have committed except the most egregious, the vast majority of Americans didn’t vote for this.

As one looks at the Middle East—the instability already taking root because of Biden’s weak leadership/appeasement, a realignment of power in the Middle East points to the Ezekiel 37-38 War. Again, I ask, why would God allow all of this to happen?

God finally said to me, “For the same reason I will allow the anti-Christ to come on the scene and pretend to be the savior of the world.”

As I contemplated what God spoke to me, I would also add, I believe a reckoning is coming, a separation of the true believers from the fake ones. I believe a Third Great Awakening is coming, and we know the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy must be fulfilled.

So there you have it. Since Biden took office, I’ve seen the demolition of America, one executive order at a time. I see a pack of wolves devouring our freedoms and silencing the voices of those who love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I even see “Christians” who have been deceived and who have bought into the fake religion of political correctness, Black Lives Matter, Critical Race Theory, tribal prejudice, and socialism. Nominal Christians might as well be sheeple because of either their inability or unwillingness to “test” what they hear and see if it aligns with Scripture.

I urge Christians and those who are questioning what is happening—i.e., the censorship of conservative thought, the destruction of our national heritage by tearing down statues, rewriting American history that is skewed by an underlying agenda to create ethnic unrest, the violation of our Constitution (i.e., not following the election laws in several states), the indoctrination of our children in schools with godless ideologies, denigrating the family unit, confusion of gender, killing the unborn child even up to nine months, the worship of the planet instead of the worship of God, and the unwillingness or the cognitive inability to call evil, evil, and good, good—to speak out, to be bold, to be a witness for Christ, and to be fearless in the face of wickedness. If the Lord tarries, persecution is coming. And that persecution will be even sooner if we sit back and let what is happening to America continue. We are watching the erosion of what makes America great.

Are you kneeling for Black Lives Matter? Get up off your knees. Are you voting to support the right to kill a baby in the womb? Switch parties. Are you doing your own research to validate that what the media is telling you is true? Be a Berean. Are you reading your Bible every day? Are you praying for your country, for wisdom in high places, and for God’s truth to reach those who don’t know that truth?

Jesus Christ is the answer. Not tribal autonomy, not celebrating Black History Month, not drawing distinctions between African Americans, Caucasians, Chinese, or any other ethnic identity. Galatians 3:28 states, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

If everyone took this verse to heart, I guarantee you we wouldn’t have racial divisions or inequality. The answer to racial issues is Jesus Christ. If churches focused on that instead of apologizing for their whiteness, the country would be far better off. If churches would focus on Biblical principles that are not man-focused but God-focused with a Biblical worldview, we could heal our streets and land.

I leave you with this thought. We know God ultimately wins, but in the looming battle, I see many casualties. Globalism doesn’t care about individual rights, freedoms, or accountability. The elitists care about power. The communists care about control. The socialists care about themselves. Anyone in their path which they can manipulate they will. They call the uninformed useless idiots. An idiot is somebody who doesn’t know what’s happening. If you are reading this, wake up.

Don’t be deceived. Don’t believe the lies of the left. The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is out to take control of this country, and if I were a betting woman, I bet they do it without firing a shot. They want our resources, and anybody who gets in the way of their political agenda is just collateral damage. They care nothing about you or me.

The man sitting in the Whitehouse right now is a Chinese puppet, bought and paid for with Chinese money. And when he’s no longer useful, they will get rid of him and put Kamala Harris in as the next president. Imagine the hoopla when the first black woman is in charge. Never mind that she’s a communist; she’s black, and she’s a woman with a Marxist ideology. Don’t believe me? Do your own research.

My hope is in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The one good thing in all of this is I believe Biden’s agenda will hasten our Lord’s return. I urge you, as you read this, to make sure your salvation is assured. If you have any doubt, pray this prayer:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner. I want to repent of my sins. I believe your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins. I ask You to come into my life. Set me free from my bondage to sin and help me to live my life for You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer and believe it with all your heart, you are now a Christian. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Get a Bible and start reading it. Join a church. And make it a priority to spend time in prayer with Jesus each day. Guard your heart against the evilness that is all around us. The Lord’s return is soon. Stay steadfast. In the spirit of Ephesians 6:16-18, keep looking up, and fight the good fight:

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints (Berean Study Bible). Amen.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION: Christian Blogger Lorilyn Roberts

Now that the course has been set for the next four years, I want to say how thankful I am that God is for me and not against me. While I have been attacked and maligned, God has been my anchor and my strength. And for those who even questioned my salvation, rest assured, it is well with my soul.

I look forward to seeing what God will accomplish over the next few years. He is sitting on the throne watching over the affairs of men, and I am praying for the leaders of this great nation. A Third Great Awakening is coming. God's ways are not our ways, and perhaps persecution will awaken the church and bring people into God's kingdom in ways that would not have been possible if Trump had been sworn in as the next president.
I keep looking up, knowing our redemption draws nigh - perhaps sooner now that more end-time signs are manifesting. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, don't wait. Today is the day of salvation.

I TRULY BELIEVE TRUMP WILL BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT: Christian Blogger Lorilyn Roberts

I truly believe Trump will be our next president. Biden is a usurper, and there is no way our Lord and Savior is going to let a usurper take the "throne" over the United States of America. God is a God of justice, and Biden is not the rightful winner. He is the enemy's choice.

There are many more souls in America yet to be saved before the tribulation begins, and Satan wants to usher in that seven-year period now before God's appointed time. God will not allow that to happen.

Too many Christians all over the world have prayed for our nation, for Trump, for the unborn child, for religious freedom, and for justice. I think we are about to see the Third Great Awakening, and God will make it obvious who the traitors are in our country. God will not be mocked. The indictments are coming.

The globalist agenda that Biden and the Left advocate paves the way for the anti-Christ to come on the stage and assert his leadership, perhaps through the United Nations. If Biden were to become president, that process would be sped up too soon.

If Biden had been chosen by the people, that would be one thing. But that didn't happen. The evidence will be revealed that this election was stolen from Trump.

Throughout Biblical history, usurpers have tried to take control away from those God has chosen. Esau tried to usurp Jacob, Adonijah, David's son, tried to usurp the throne from David (and Solomon), and Satan has tried to ursurp Jesus as King of kings, and seize His throne.

As the truth unravels about the 2020 election, be prepared for the Internet to go down, for food supplies to be cut off, for violence to increase, and for signs in the heavens to be revealed. These are the "birth pangs" Jesus talked about in the Olivet Discourse.

Earthquakes and hatred among ethnic groups will only increase thanks to groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa. However, while the Restrainer is still on Earth, Satan's power is limited by the Holy Spirit who dwells within Christian believers.

In the meantime, I continue to "occupy," doing what I can to reach the lost for Christ. But I'll be honest: I can't wait to "hear the Lion roar" when Jesus raptures us up into the clouds to meet Him. Don't miss it!

Repent of your sins, acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior, who died on the cross to save you from your sins, and call on His name. Believe in your heart that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is only one way to heaven, and that's through Yeshua, the Messiah.

DR. BRIAN SIMMONS ON THE BOOK OF REVELATION - ARE HIS INTERPRETATIONS BIBLICAL: Christian Blogger Lorilyn Roberts

I watched this video because a friend asked me to listen to Dr. Brian Simmons’ interpretation of Revelation. While I don’t have a firm grasp on Simmons’ beliefs about salvation (if they comport with traditional Christianity), after watching this YouTube video, I must say his teachings on the book of Revelation are strange and unscriptural. Do not be deceived by his allegorical interpretations.

I posted the link to the video here not to promote Simmons' teachings, but to point out how important it is that we weigh what anyone says, including a teacher with a doctorate in theology, with what the Bible teaches. While I don’t have Simmons’ qualifications, I am a student of the Bible and feel compelled to point out some of the flaws Simmons presents in his interpretation of the book of Revelation.

I might also add, for those who don’t know me, I have never posted anything similar to this. I might have differing opinions with a biblical scholar or teacher, but I’m always reluctant to point those differences out publicly. However, after perusing the dozens of comments on this video, I noted that many were shaken by what Simmons said and most doubted and questioned his interpretations.

I’ll begin with Simmons’ comments on “antichrist.” He says the word “antichrist” is never used in the book of Revelation, suggesting that there is no “antichrist.” One only has to look at the historical record to see there have been many antichrists. However, there is one man who will be the antichrist—referred to by many names in the Bible other than antichrist, e.g., “son of perdition” and “the man of lawlessness,” just to name two.

Concerning the antichrist, Simmons said the article “the” is never used before the word “antichrist.” The Bible is amazingly consistent. Messiah means “Anointed One,” without the word “the” attached to it. This is especially important when one considers that “anti” also means, according to Merriam-Webster, “the one who is opposed.”

Referencing the number 666, Simmons says in the video, “666 is the number of men,” meaning all men in general. However, Rev 13:18 says, “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.” (NKJV)

I checked over thirty translations of this verse. Every single translation I checked uses the article “a” before “man.” One translation used the word “person,” but still had the article “a” in front of the noun.

The Bible is clear. A man, an individual, will arise in the latter days and will be the antichrist. Satan does not know God’s timetable, and so the devil has had many men who could have fulfilled that role. Hitler was a prototype, a forerunner of the antichrist spoken of in the book of Revelation.

The word “tribulation” is found throughout Scripture, but its meaning is precise in the book of Revelation in that it refers to a specific time when God’s wrath is poured out on the earth. Reference is made to this time in the book of Joel, referred to as “the day of the Lord.” Not only is it a period of time during Joel’s life, but it presents a pattern of a future time of God’s judgment, the time referred to in the book of Revelation as the tribulation.

While the words “rapture,” “millennium,” “second coming,” and “antichrist” may not be explicitly used in the book of Revelation, as pointed out by Simmons, other words meaning the same thing do appear.

For example, Rev 20:4 refers to the saints reigning with Jesus for a thousand years. One thousand years and millennium both mean one thousand.

Again, I urge the reader, if you watch this video, take the time to examine Simmons’ words and compare them to what God says in His Word. I certainly would not trust Simmons’ interpretation of Scripture in his Passion Translation of the Bible.

Simmons said the tribulation in Scripture never applies to the unbelieving world. It only applies to the “believer.” I have no idea how he could read the book of Revelation and believe what is happening does not apply to the unbelieving earth-dwellers.

The church is no longer on earth when God pours out His wrath. God’s wrath historically has never been poured out on the believers. Think of Sodom and Gomorrah when God delivered Lot and his family from judgment. Think of Noah and how God saved “a righteous man” and his family. To think this man is preaching such heresy is unsettling. He’s fooled a good friend of mine, and I am sure he has deceived many others.

Simmons said, “The judgments of the world are actually against our self-life.” This quote is an inaccurate interpretation of Scripture. Nations will be judged. Remember what Jesus said when He spoke of the sheep and the goats. When Jesus returns, the nations will be judged on how they treated the Jews.

In Matthew 25:31-32, Jesus said: “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” (NIV)

The nations who have treated the Jews poorly will not survive into the millennium. Yes, there is a literal millennium when Jesus reigns from Jerusalem. Read Isaiah, the last couple of chapters, where Isaiah speaks about this time of peace for Israel.

It is not surprising that Simmons could not explain the references to the inability to buy or sell if one has the mark of the beast. Scripture clearly shows that the antichrist takes control of the world’s economic system. There is no need to allegorize what is understandable. Again, do not listen to this man’s false teachings.

Also, Simmons’ comments on “the beast” is within us—that is very troubling. I do not have the beast within me. The Holy Spirit resides in me. I am a sinner, saved by the grace of God. I am a new creature in Christ. Nowhere in Scripture is there any doctrine or even a hint or idea that believers are inhabited by a beast. The beast is not the flesh of man, as Simmons says.

Rev 11:7 refers to the beast coming out of the abyss. To draw a parallel to the beast coming out of the abyss to a beast inside of a person indwelt by the Holy Spirit is, in my opinion, demonic.

Simmons asks the question, “How can you blessed if a billion people are going to be slaughtered?” The book of Revelation enumerates seven specific blessings. They are as follows:

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Rev 1:3 NKJV)

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” (Rev 14:13 NKJV)

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”(Rev 16:15 NKJ)

Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” (Rev 19:19 NKJV)

Blessed and holy is he who has a part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years. (Rev 20:6 NKJV)

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Rev 22:7 NKJV)

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. (Rev 22:14 NKJV)

To ask, how can we be blessed when a billion people are being slaughtered is akin to asking how can we be blessed when Jesus died on the cross. Simmons is making a mockery of salvation. “…blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” (emphasis mine) Those who die without the Lord will spend eternity in hell. Is it not a sign of God’s grace that He gives every last human a chance to repent, even at this late hour?

Revelation 14:6 states: “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people”— this is the final witness to the earth-dwellers of God’s love. God literally sends an angel one last time to the unbelievers around the world urging them to “repent and believe in Jesus.”

Simmons says much of the Bible is allegorical. There are many instances where the Bible uses allegory. I love allegory, and I use it in my Seventh Dimension Series. However, some things one should not allegorize. Furthermore, if one does, he better be sure there is not a literal interpretation that fits the meaning of the passage.

In my opinion, Dr. Brian Simmons’ interpretations of Revelation are flawed and gnostic. Stay away from him. Patricia King, the host, seems like a very warm and welcoming person. However, I have to question her judgment to give someone a platform to speak whose interpretation of the book of Revelation is so contrary to the norms of traditional Biblical interpretation which has hallmarked the spirit-filled church for the last two thousand years.

One final comment: I believe, as he mentions in this YouTube video, revival is coming. In some parts of the world, revival is happening as I write. Simmons mentioned Nepal explicitly. My oldest daughter is from Nepal. I adopted her at the age of three and spent two weeks going through the adoption process in-country. I can say while I was in Kathmandu, I felt the extreme darkness of a country worshipping the false gods of Hinduism. I have only felt that kind of oppression twice in my life, and one of those times was while I was in Nepal.

That was over twenty years ago. I went back to Nepal recently and took over three hundred Christian books from John 3:16 Network Authors to help build a church library.

My younger daughter, Joy, went with me, and we had several opportunities to share our faith and minister to orphans. As Simmons said in this video, the church has exploded in Nepal, and as a result, the government has cracked down on sharing the Gospel.

In this instance, I think what Simmons shared is visionary for what will happen and is happening all over the world. We must seize the moment and occupy wherever we are, sharing our faith boldly—in the workplace, among friends, and sending missionaries to the far reaches of the planet. Whatever God has called you to do, do it well. Don’t wait. Jesus could return at any moment. There is absolutely nothing that must happen first.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 states: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…”

The falling away is coming, and the man of sin will be revealed during that falling away. Today is the time of grace, the church age. The time is ripe for a revival. What are you doing to speed the Lord’s return? If you aren’t doing something, get busy. The lives of millions are at stake. We must reach the unsaved—use your gifts that God has given you lest God comes along and gives them to someone else because you squandered your opportunity to serve Him.

Be busy with the Lord’s work. I urge everyone reading this blog post, please, please, be a Berean. Don’t take my word for it. Don’t take anyone’s word for it. Think about God’s Word. Meditate on it. Deception will be rampant in the last days, and the only way not to be deceived is to know the Scriptures. Be diligent and mindful. Pray. Don’t be lazy! In due time, we will see God face to face. Let us look forward to that day and hasten His return.

MOSES SPOKE OF THE RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD - ALLUDING TO YESHUA: Devotional by Loirlyn Roberts

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live forever...Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people (Deut 32:39-40; Deut. 32:43).

Have you ever wondered if there was a reference in the Old Testament to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?  I came across this passage in Deuteronomy 32:39-40 and 32:43 while researching time reversals in the Bible for Seventh Dimension - The Howling.

www.arkcode.com (no longer available on the web) talks about in Resurrection and Possible Reversal of Time how God reversed the position of the sun by ten degrees in the Bible, which refers to the sundial (steps) of Ahaz.

Most of the information in this article is way out of my comfort zone as I'm not a mathematician, but the reference to Deuteronomy was enlightening. Even in the Old Testament, God gave hints to a coming resurrection. In verse 43, he alludes to his return as the Messiah, to avenge the blood of his servants, render vengeance on his adversaries, and that he would be merciful unto his land and to his people.

Jesus will not return until the Jews, his chosen, recognize him as their Messiah. As we near the days of the Tribulation, I'm always looking for passages in the Old Testament that are relevant to his return, particularly in the Torah.

Interestingly, this passage also infers that no one can take away those whom God has called, that Yeshua lifted up his hands on the cross (death) and that his human life was swallowed up in victory (eternal life).

I look forward to the day when one-third of the Jews will come to know Yeshua as their personal Savior (Zech 13:9). Today is the day of Salvation. Don't delay if you haven't accepted Jesus into your heart.

THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART, THERE IS NO GOD: Devotional by Lorilyn Roberts

The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God,
They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who set up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call on the Lord?
There they are in great fear,
For God is with the generation of the righteous.
You shame the counsel of the poor,
But the Lord is his refuge.

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
(Psalm 14, NSV translation)

After I finished my breast cancer treatment in October, one of the commitments I made was to read the Bible in a year. I have only done it once before many years ago, and I felt like God wanted me to do it again. After three months, I am discovering many surprises I didn’t expect.

For example, I am further along in my walk with God now than when I read the entire Bible before. I know more, and I’m in a different place spiritually. Things jump out at me now that I’m sure I read through before without understanding the deeper meaning.

While I was accustomed to reading the Bible on an almost daily basis, I tended to read my favorite passages and those to which I felt drawn. I’ve rediscovered a vast treasure trove of books and stories and life lessons I either never knew or didn’t remember. How exciting it’s been to see the things God is showing me.

For example, Psalm 14, I used to wonder what it meant when it says in the above passage, “They have all turned aside. Together they have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.”

Is that really true? Does no one do good? Perhaps taking it out of context that would seem to be what God is saying, but put into proper context, I realize now this Psalm is apocalyptic. It’s referring to the time at the end of the tribulation when God’s people have been removed or put into a place of protection, and the earth-dwellers who remain are wicked and corrupt.

The last paragraph is especially gripping to me: “Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!  When the LORD restores His captive people…”

What is so amazing is that God restored the Jews to the land of Israel in unbelief, and David is crying out to God, “Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!” We know that salvation came out of Zion through the death and resurrection of Yeshua Hamashiach, the Messiah.

The Bible says in Zechariah 13:8-9: “It will come about in all the land,” declares the LORD, “That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; but the third will be left in it. And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are My people,' And they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’”…

Because my salvation journey began in elementary school with some classmates who were almost all Jewish (I was jealous for their God), I’ve always had a passion to reach the Jews with the message that Yeshua is their Messiah. Many Jews are looking for Him, especially the mystics because they can read the signs and they know the Scriptures. They just don’t realize it is His second coming that’s on the horizon, not His first. I also believe that percentage-wise, more Jews will be saved than Gentiles in those last days. One-third of Israel, the Bible says, will come to know Yeshua as the Messiah shortly before His return. From what Psalm 14 says, it might be an even smaller percentage for the Gentiles.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” How many times have we heard that in the news? How many times have Christians been mocked? Even if the earth-dwellers don’t say it outwardly, we know them by their works. And it will get worse, but there is Good News.

“For God is with the righteous generation” – Whether that means God will protect the righteous in the last days or that they will be removed, I’m not sure, but I believe it indicates there will be a tremendous revival before His return. I am praying for the church to wake up and realize, the time is now.

God has spoken two things to me:  Be bold and share the Gospel. A sense of urgency speaks to my heart. I plan on writing more blog posts where I share my testimony and what God is teaching me. I hope readers will be encouraged to read the Bible each day, remembering that God has something to speak specifically to you and to me. Oh, that we would crave to hear His voice!

TRUTHS FROM THE OTHER SIDE: Devotional from "Am I Okay, God?" by Lorilyn Roberts

If I [Jesus] go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
—John 14:3

Science fiction gives me the ability to travel to faraway places—and I like the exotic. In reality, Scotty can’t beam me up, I can’t travel to Mars, and I can’t live under the ocean.

But what if I could walk through walls? What if I could die and come back to life? What if I could read other people’s minds, talk to animals, travel through time, and visit the spiritual world through a hidden door?

*~*~*~*~*~*

From Seventh Dimension – The Door, a Young Adult Christian Fantasy:

“Will the king always be with me?”
“Always. The seventh dimension is within you.”
—Shale Snyder and Astella, chapter thirty-seven

*~*~*~*~*~*

The seventh dimension is a place beyond time. It’s within you and amongst the stars, but a heartbeat away and a prayer close by in times of need. God is ever mindful of what we do and where we are. If we feel estranged, we have moved—not God.

The Bible says many unusual things happened on the night of Jesus’ crucifixion, events often overlooked by the casual reader. I mention some of those strange apparitions in The Door to draw attention to the fact that much of what happened at the cross was supernatural. Supernatural means what it says—unnatural to the world we can see and feel and touch. I call it the seventh dimension.

Matthew 27:45 says from the sixth hour until the ninth hour, darkness came over all the land.

Matthew 27:46 says Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me!” He didn’t cry out to one of his followers or his family. He cried out to God.

When Jesus gave up his spirit, Matthew 27:51 says the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. Tombs broke open and dead people came out of them. After Jesus’ resurrection, they went into Jerusalem and appeared to many people.

Those that saw this exclaimed, “Surely he was the son of God” (Matthew 27:54).

A violent earthquake shook the ground following Passover. An angel rolled away the stone from the tomb and sat on it. Matthew 28:3-4 says, “His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.”

Later that day, Jesus met the women who had followed him and his disciples. Over and over, he told his followers, “Do not be afraid.”

Stop and think. Imagine you had been there. You witness two earthquakes, see something strange in the sky, hear about the tearing of the curtain in the Jewish temple, and are told dead people have come back to life. One of them even appeared to you—your uncle who died five years ago. You hear rumors of an angel appearing before the guards in the garden.

Reports spread about several appearances of Jesus, even though you saw him die on a cross. You witnessed a spear stuck in his side and nails driven into his hands and feet.

In today’s world, with all of our medical technology, how long would it take someone to recover from that kind of injury, if it were even possible?

When have dead people come back to life and greeted hundreds of astonished onlookers? With the Internet, Twitter, Facebook, and around-the-clock television reporters looking for the story of the century, we would know about it immediately.

When has there been an eclipse associated with two earthquakes that occurred simultaneously?

What is the boundary between the spiritual world and the natural world? Spiritual beings can go back and forth—humans can’t. Jesus’ resurrection is proof that a person can come back from the dead. He was the first to be raised.

While his disciples recognized him, he appeared strangely different. They witnessed him travel through walls. He was no longer bound by the limitations of a human body. Something supernatural happened—that had never happened before.

All these things were possible because there’s a seventh dimension—a reality we can’t see or touch or feel—a reality that is outside of time as we know it. God’s reality is bigger than we can perceive because we are mortal.

When sin entered the garden and tainted God’s creation, it took away the immortality of humans. The unique relationship that man had with God in the garden ended. Death began and time took on a different meaning. Man would count the days, grow old, and die.

When Jesus died,  he conquered sin once and for all. We will still suffer a physical death if the Lord tarries, but God will resurrect us so we can live with him forever in heaven. Those who have not received Jesus’ salvation will also suffer a physical death, but they will be resurrected to spend an eternity in hell.

We only have glimpses into the world of angels and demons—like we can see the introduction to a movie, and catch scenes of what’s to come, but we can’t “see” the movie until the movie hits theaters.

We have visual clues into a world beyond this one—evidence that demands our attention.

Jesus said in Luke 17:21 that the kingdom of God is within us. Because we are made in God’s image, his image is imprinted on us—in our synapses and in every breath we take. We long to be known by our Creator. We are the created: loved and molded in the Creator’s image.

Shale’s adventure into the seventh dimension is what happens to all of us at some level once we begin our quest for truth—a truth that is unlimited. The spirit from beyond teaches us about things we can’t understand naturally. Science has no answers for spiritual truths. They must be perceived spiritually.

When we die, we leave earth and go somewhere. We don’t stay here. No human has ever escaped the inevitable except two men in the Old Testament. In both cases, their being “taken up” without death was to glorify God.

Martyrs throughout history have also glorified God in their deaths—a testimony to everyone who comes after them. We are but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow, but we hold the truth within us. God wants us to share that truth with a world that needs more love—God’s love.

In the last book of the Bible, we are given a detailed account of the seventh dimension. John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was imprisoned on the island of Patmos. He was an old man as this vision happened many years after the crucifixion. John was told by an angel to write down everything he saw.

John was given a glimpse into the future. He saw many events yet to take place, mysteries, terrifying images for which he had no words. His writings make up what is known as the Revelation.

and the living one; and I [Jesus] was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and Hades.
—Revelation 1:18

I can’t do justice to understanding Revelation, but I have thought about what certain things mean many times—the receding of the scroll, how John could see so far into the future, why God gave him the vision, and what God wants us to learn. Revelation is the only book in the Bible that offers a blessing to those who read it.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
—Revelation 1:3

Imagine there is a ruler timeline for the whole universe. You’re a tiny, insignificant dot in the year 20__. You can see only a sliver of what’s on that timeline. That’s your reality. But the seventh dimension covers the whole timeline and keeps on going past the edge of the ruler forwards and backwards. A ruler is only two dimensions—but the seventh dimension is, well, who knows how many dimensions? I chose seven because it’s the most sacred number in the Bible.

Let’s take another example. You’re a fish in an aquarium. That is your world, perhaps located in the corner of the living room. When you look through the glass of the aquarium, you see a world that you don’t understand. People outside the tank seem like gods to you. They dump flakes of fish food in your tank—they keep you alive.

Your three‑dimensional world is only as big as the fish tank. Because you don’t understand the outside world doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. You see distorted glimpses of it through the aquarium glass.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face-to‑face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
— I Corinthians 13:12

Shale was known by Jesus long before she knew who he was. She sensed there was something she wanted, but she didn’t know what it was. She longed for something she could not name. Have you ever felt that way?

That longing is for Jesus Christ. Jesus was fully human and fully God. He died and was resurrected on the third day. He now assumes his godly position in heaven. The Messianic Jews accept Jesus for who he said he was. They call him their Messiah. The king resides in heaven now, his abode.

In Seventh Dimension – The Door, the birdcage descended from heaven and alighted on the king’s out-spread palm. Then he opened the door of the cage and set the small bird free.

The symbolism is powerful. In the same way, the king set the bird free, Jesus freed Shale. You are that beautiful bird in a cage waiting—to be freed from sin, freed from impediments that blind you and bind you. You’re as free as you give yourself permission to be—free to become all God created you to be.

Don’t place limitations on yourself—your lack of belief, your lack of trust, your lack of faith—your lack in these areas is because of sin. Sin limits your ability to receive love. Jesus came to set you free. That freedom is yours once you commit your life to him.

Your freedom is a gift—Jesus Christ will not force himself on you. He is a gentleman in every sense of the word—a perfect gentleman. You must choose to let him into your heart.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
—John 15:7

You have been given everything you need to live a godly life in the person of Jesus Christ. Take a moment and ponder where you want to spend eternity. Remember, you’re no more than a worm, but Christ was willing to become as lowly as a worm in order to save you.

Out of the seventh dimension greatness visited us in the form of a king. He left his throne and entered the abode of man. He became one of us so we could become one of his.

In our flesh, limited by our ability to see the supernatural, we see God through general creation. But we must open our eyes to see. We must not let depravity steal our joy. We must not let evilness wax our love cold. The choice to heed God’s calling is ours.

Dear Jesus, I have sinned against you and others. You died for me on the cross, my only way to heaven. Please come into my  heart and help me to follow you. Thank you for your gift of salvation.
