100 Plus Chances to Win a $50 Amazon Gift Card

One of the things I have been doing recently for marketing in addition to building my email list is I'm trying to build my BookBub followers. Try as I might, I have not been able to get BookBub to feature any of my books for a long time.

I tell myself, it's because God wants all the glory for Himself. If I ever reach any modicum of success, it will be because He made it happen, not because of BookBub. They are the premiere site for book promotion with a huge reach for indy authors as well as traditional authors.

So, I am involved in this multi-author promotion where you can win a $50 Amazon gift card, and all you have to do is follow a few authors on BookBub, like me, who are trying to do the same thing I am. I think you need to set up an account on BookBub if you don't have one, but if you are a reader it's worth the easy sign-up. Each day they offer high-quality books for free and at greatly discounted prices.

The reason why authors want a thousand readers following them on BookBub is that when an author launches a new book, BookBub will send an email to the author's BookBub followers as a promotion for a new release.

If you don't want to take the time to enter the drawing but would like to follow me anyway, you can go to my page on BookBub at

I have 302 followers, so I have a long ways to go to hit a thousand. The follow button is at the top right-hand corner.

In the meantime, I continue to work on the next book in the Seventh Dimension Series, The Howling.  It has an unusual plot that's taken an enormous amount of research, but I hope to begin writing soon.

Seventh Dimension - The Prescience - FREE Today and Tomorrow on Amazon - Memorial Day Weekend

Seventh Dimension - The Prescience: A Young Adult Fantasy by Lorilyn Roberts is the fifth book in the Seventh Dimension series that take on time travel. Daniel and Shale, a recently engaged (betrothed) couple, found a lost orphan girl in Jerusalem and try to save her from the devastated city. From there, they embark on God’s plan and return to the first century and search for Daniel’s father who has gone missing. Finding his father could be the first step in unraveling the mystery of a tragedy that is waiting to happen. However, it is proving to be more dangerous and difficult than both of them ever thought. There are far too many enemies and dangers awaiting them, and all they can do is fight them together. But can they?

With religious themes mixed with coming of age, the novel is definitely very different and the author seems to be in her element here. I enjoyed the time travel, how the two main characters fought the odds together and came out victorious at the end. Although I have not read the previous novels in the series, I still enjoyed it and caught up with the story really quickly. The story was and entertaining. Right from the beginning, the story gripped my attention. The chemistry between Shale and Daniel was perfect; they respected each other with an intensity and worked together as a team. The element of time travel was spot on; the author ensured that the characters, the dialogues even the environment were time appropriate. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the novel! A really entertaining coming of age story.

Being a Mother Reminds Me of the Trinity

With my younger daughter, Joy

Being a mother reminds me of the Trinity. I could never be a mother without a child to love. In the same way, God could never display His unconditional love unless He was in fellowship with the Son. Only through sacrificial love could God's ultimate Glory be revealed, and that required a relationship with His Beloved Son. And now we are all His Adopted Sons and Daughters through the Holy Spirit. Three in One.
Without children, much of God's love would have dried up in my heart, never to be shared. How much less God's Glory would have been appreciated by me. My daughters would never have known God's love through a young woman, abandoned and rejected, too young to be left childless, too full of promise to be left without Hope, and too hopeful to be left without Joy.

Thank goodness God uses flawed, imperfect human beings

I hate to think how empty my life would have been without my two beautiful daughters. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, friends and family, who prayed for me every step of the way to Nepal and Vietnam. And I thank our Heavenly Father for adopting us into His Forever Family. Eternity awaits.
