It's quite a stunning cover (though I must say I also liked the old one). My only comment is that seeing the cover for the first time made me think I was looking at the cover of a novel, though the endorsement from Jerry Jenkins makes it plain that it's not.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the book so much but prefer the original cover.
ReplyDeleteI will keep the original on the hardback copy. If course, I love the original because it's my family, but part of me felt like I was giving away the story before I told it. People knew the outcome with the cover, and so the idea of this cover is to make people want to read the story to find out the outcome.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the original - but I love this cover - it's beautiful! And, of course, as you say, it keeps the book inside a bit of a mystery. Seeing the real photo of the children in the clouds gives me a clue that it isn't a novel....
ReplyDeleteOk, went to Amazon and saw the original cover; and I still love this one...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. My older daughter prefers the new cover, too. She says since we aren't a celebrity we shouldn't have our picture on the front.
ReplyDeleteI love it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Arnold. Who do you think will win the NBA championship? I am betting on Miami. The best decision Lebron James ever made was to leave Cleveland and go to Miami.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful cover Lorilyn!
